Revelations you may have missed from 'Five Years Gone'
EXTREME SPOILERS BELOW from 'Five Years Gone'
Parkman knew he was actually working for Sylar and not Nathan. Why I believe this was the case:
- Parkman complained to Hiro that he was forced to takes sides because of the things Hiro did.
- Parkman would be able to read "Nathan`s" mind and find out it was actually Sylar.
- Parkman called "Nathan" for backup against Peter or else it would be "all over". Why would Parkman think the real Nathan could do anything against Peter?
- Parkman was not surprised when "Nathan" changed to Sylar right before battling Peter.
Other Revelations you may have missed:
- Sylar obviously killed and took the power from Candice Wilmer, the Prima Tech employee with the power of Illusion. That is how Sylar was able to make everyone think he was Nathan.
- Sylar killed and took the power from DL. He was able to pull Peter through the wall using DL's Phasing.
Sylar's objective was to be "special." Now that he held the Presidency, he was the "Most special person there is." With his position, Sylar could pick and choose what powers he wanted, like Claire's healing ability. However, his long-term plan was to erradicate all the other people with special abilities, so he would be the only one. Not sure if he was doing this to gain power over humanity, or just his obsession with being special.
Obviously this was an episode showing what would happen if they don't kill Sylar, so most of this will no longer be true. However, 'Five Years Gone' was an excellent episode with all the twists and revelations that we've come to expect from Heroes.
